How to select who can send to your group

You can decide who contributes to your group discussions.

  1. Login, click to select the group where you want to make changes, click Settings:

    settings option in sidebar

  2. Scroll down to Message Flow:

    5 radio button options

  3. Click one of:

    - Administrators only

    Useful for limiting activity on large lists where you don't want to disturb users too often


    - Selected group members

    Specify who can and can't send to the group. You may need to edit member roles for this option


    - All group members

    Allows all members to send messages


    - Anyone in your organization (this option only appears if you have an Organization)

    Any member can send to any group in your organization


    - Anyone

    Great if you want to make your list completely open and accept messages from people you’ve not pre-approved, However, this can lead to a very busy list so be careful!

You can also allow individual non-members by using the Additional Sender List

  1. Members who can send messages will have Sender appear next to their name, under the Tags column:

    Green Sender tag next to sender name
