Why doesn't my subscription decrease when I remove members?

When you add members to your group, we automatically update your subscription to cover the new total. However, when you remove members, we don't automatically reduce it. You'll need to visit your billing page and update your subscription manually.

We do it this way because many group owners prefer to set a fixed subscription level. For example, if you know your group fluctuates around 1,000 members, you might want to lock in that number so your bill stays predictable, even if membership dips temporarily. Automatically reducing the subscription would be frustrating for these customers.
